I wanted to remind anyone about this site.
They operate a streaming webcam (with sound) of the Orca pods that summer off the coast of N/W Washington state.
Sign up for their E-mail notification service and you'll get a notice whenever the Orca are near enough to see or hear.
It's been very busy lately, great shots of the whales breaching the surface, and many cries as the different pods interact.

I got a chance to watch the construction back in the late '60s while I held my first Summer job working with my dad at Western Union down on Chambers Street.

All I remember is the sight of that giant crane lifting huge I-Beams up the sides of the towers.
It was a long time ago...I was so young...

So please, talk to me...leave a comment...even if you've never been there.

I moved out here to Arizona in '81 before I ever got a chance to go back.

A TV SitCom about Tucson?!?!?
Life in an Irish/Mexican home in the foothills.
This ought to be interesting.

Here's a quote from the press release:
"Though "Greetings" doesn't focus on race, the topic does come up a couple of times in the pilot. A next-door-neighbor, for instance, compliments Elizabeth on her backyard wall, saying she's heard "The Mexicans are really good at building walls." "

Ain't it the truth...considering the one they have to get over to live here in the first place...

This Old School
Thought I'd stop by this old place today. Located on South 6TH just South of town it's the center of a local debate whether or not to level the old beast. Many claim it's got too much history, others say it'll cost WAY too much to upgrade.
Can you believe it's still in use?!?...

What makes seeing car wrecks, car crash pictures or car accidents so pleasurable to some?
Some say the pure joy of seeing what was once a perfectly fine automobile reduced to a pile of mangled scrap metal is pleasure enough, but when you add exotic to the mixture, it makes the brew that much better!

The buildings on this list were selected because they cost so much and look so awful. While we are sure that we didn't include more than a few buildings that could easily qualify for this list, we think we've done a pretty fair job of picking some real howlers.
