Have any of you ever wondered about how you could surf without being constantly bombarded by all the different advertising?
Look, I know my entire site is hosted on nothing but "FREE" websites, and my pages literally toss the advertising out at you, but do you know that you can (as I do) get rid of a good 95% or more of ad banners and boxes?
I'm serious.
Wouldn't you like to watch television without commercials?
How about surfing the net without ads?
Okay, take a look at this:

If you have any questions, drop me a note and I'll let you know how I set up my system.

This is what I've been saying all along ....

Stupid people should have to wear signs that just say, "I'm
Stupid." That way you wouldn't rely on them, would you? You
wouldn't ask them anything. It would be like, "Excuse me...
oops, never mind -- didn't see your sign."

It's like before my wife and I moved. Our house was full of
boxes and there was a U-Haul truck in our driveway. My neighbor
comes over and says, "Hey, you moving?" "Nope. We just pack our
stuff up once or twice a week to see how many boxes it takes.
Here's a sign."

A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine,
we pulled his boat into the dock, I lifted up this big 'ol
stringer of bass and this idiot on the dock goes, "Hey, y'all
catch all them fish?"
"Nope. Talked 'em into giving up. Here's a
sign."

I was watching one of those animal shows on the Discovery
Channel. There was a guy inventing a shark bite suit. And
there's only one way to test it. "All right Jimmy, you got that
shark suit on, it looks good... They want you to jump into this
pool of sharks, and you tell us if it hurts when they bite you."
"Well, all right, but hold my sign. I don't wanna lose it.

Last time I had a flat tire, I pulled my truck into one of
those side-of-the-road gas stations. The attendant walks out,
looks at my truck, looks at me, and I SWEAR he said, "Tire go
flat?"
I couldn't resist. I said, "Nope. I was driving around
and those other three just swelled right up on me. Here's a
sign."

We were trying to sell our car about a year ago. A guy came
over to the house and drove the car around for about 45 minutes.
We get back to the house, he gets out of the car, reaches down
and grabs the exhaust pipe, then says, "Darn, that's hot!" See?
If he'd been wearing his sign, I could have stopped him.

I learned to drive an 18 wheeler in my younger days of
adventure. Wouldn't you know I misjudged the height of a bridge.
The truck got stuck and I couldn't get it out no matter how I
tried. I radioed in for help and eventually a local cop shows up
to take the report. He went through his basic questioning. OK,
no problem. I thought sure he was clear of needing a sign. Until
he asked, "So, is your truck stuck?" I couldn't help myself! I
looked at him, looked back at the rig and then back to him and
said, "No I'm delivering' a bridge... here's a sign."

I stayed late at work one night and a co-worker looked at me
and said, "Are you still here?" I replied, "No. I left about 10
minutes ago.

Anybody you know need a sign today? The next time someone
says something stupid ask them where his sign is.

A web friend of mine, a retired railroad engineer out of Springfield, Mass sent me this recently...neat little story:
A mother was working in the kitchen listening to her son playing with
his new electric train in the living room. She heard the
train stop and her son saying, "All of you sons of bitches who want off, get the hell off now,
cause this is the last stop! And all of you sons of bitches who are getting on, get your asses in the train, cause we're going down the tracks."
The horrified mother went in and told her son, "We don't use that kind of language in this house!! Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language."
Two hours later, the son came out of the bedroom and resumed playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say, "All passengers who are disembarking the train, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you For riding
with us today and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us again
soon." She hears the little boy continue, "For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today."
As the mother began to smile, the child added, "For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the bitch in the kitchen."

Just got this in the mail, does it ring any bells?

Start with a cage containing five monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on
a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to
the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he touches the
stairs, spray all of the other monkeys with cold water. After a while,
another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the other monkeys
are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, when another monkey tries to climb
the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. Now, put away the cold
water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one.The new
monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and
horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and
attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.
Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new
one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked, and the previous
newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm! Likewise, replace a
third original monkey with a new one, then a fourth, and then the fifth. Every
time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked. Most of the monkeys
that are beating him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the
stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest
monkey. After replacing all the original monkeys, none of the remaining
monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever
again approaches the stairs to try for the banana. Why not? Because as far as
they know, that's the way it's always been done around here.

And that, my dear friends, is how company policy is born.

I have a heavy wrist.
I twisted the throttle to the stop early this morning around 2am while leaving my night shift at the jet factory, Learjet, here in Tucson.
Within a quarter mile from the driveway I had it up to 77mph.
Damn, wouldn't you know it...
there they were, in the bushes, about 15 ft. off the highway...a couple of reservation police...
Lights...action...here they come...

Him: "Do you know how fast you were going?"
Me: "Yeah."
Him: "How fast?"
Me: "65?" (read:yeah, right..Bill)
Him: "Got you clocked and locked at 77. License and registration? Okay, sit tight..."

He came back after two minutes.

Him: "You know this is a criminal offense, you were WAY over...?"
Me: "Yeah, you got me...fair and square..."
Him: "I'm going to do you a favor...a big favor." As he handed me my papers.
Me: "What do you mean...what am I getting?
Him: "Nothing...just remember...this is my shift...and my beat...just take it easy out here, okay?"
Me: "You're kidding...(long pause)...THANKS!"
Him: "Get outta here."

The Tohono O'odham Police have got to be a great group of officers!

Bored, took the day off...waiting for an auto glass tech to show up to replace the drivers window in our pick-up.
Some lousy low-life thought he'd find something worth stealing last night.
Suck head.
Hope he's happy with the K-9 Pooper Scoopers, some sun glasses, a handfull of home recorded cassettes, the Ford F-150 owners manual, and two of my baseball caps that he made off with after shattering the window.
What fools we have today, no?
Looks like he just scooped up everything he could get his hands on.
Nice haul, Ace.

Anyway, just playing around here:

A JPG to AVI to SWF test.
Does it work for you?
Just got done making a few changes to the log here and thought I'd throw in a couple of links to some photos I took last Summer during a visit to Southeast Utah.
These link to a couple of collections of petroglyph photos:

Newspaper Rock, SE Utah Canyonlands
Some of these are really ancient, enjoy!
